Nowadays, organizations and professionals have embrace agile principles in managing their projects and their daily tasks. Project Management Institute has acknowledge this trend by incorporating agile method into PMBOK® Guide which has been known with its waterfall approach. The hybrid approach in adapting and combining waterfall and agile methods if here to stay and to enrich professionals toolkit in taking on their projects.
We believe that a project manager should know these two approaches since some projects are better with waterfall method while other will benefit the most with an agile mindset. The hybrid approach is also possible as stated in the latest edition PMBOK® Guide from PMI.
In this DPM with Agile workshop our facilitators will deliver 3 days of Professional PM program with waterfall method followed by 2 days of Fundamentals of Agile PM program. With this program the participants will be familiar with both and can take the best out of these complementing mindsets.
This program is designed to complement our current Professional Project Management workshop program. This is specifically designed to help project management professionals or practitioners, both project managers/leaders and team members, to learn the standard of project management that is in line with the latest 6th Edition of A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) issued by Project Management Institute (PMI)®, USA, and also hands-on knowledge of project scheduling using MS Project application.
DPM workshop offers both the knowledge, principles, and the application of Agile and Waterfall methods as well its Hybrid approach in managing various project types. Participants will learn how these approaches can complement each other and how to differentiate and to decide which approach is better on their projects.
By exploring Project Management Institute’s latest edition of Guide to Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) including the use of Agile project management, participants will learn the common good practice in various project management setting and directly practice to apply both waterfall and agile methods for their projects.
This workshop offers the combination of practical application of both waterfall and agile approaches in managing various type of project.
After this workshop, the participants will:
- Understand the project management framework.
- Understand the PMBOK® Guide standards and processes in managing project.
- Be able to apply the tools and techniques of managing project.
- Use PMBOK® Guide to help their actual projects.
- Understand how to use Agile project management approach with Scrum
- 3 (Three) days of Professional Project Management program with waterfall approach
- 2 (Two) days of Fundamentals of Agile PM (with Scrum) program
- 12 months of access to Vallery Online Repository System

Dcolearning Facilitators are dedicated and seasoned project management practitioners. They have extensive project management experiences and are experienced facilitators. They must be nationally and/or internationally certified in project management area – Project Management Professional (PMP)®.
